Tahir Goni Idris Anna'im was born in 1977 at Gombe State, but his origin is from Borno.
Goni brought up and had his local tsangaya Quranic school in Borno. He memorized the Glorious Quran at younger age and studied Tajweed and Qira'at from various prominent and well known Quranic reciters in Borno before he went abroad.
Goni graduated from Al-Azhar University 2006 – Faculty of Shari’ah & Law. While studying Shari’ah at Egypt, he enrolled in one of the Qur’anic schools and had the privilege of getting Ijaza in Qira’at al-ashra assugra wal kubra( the Ten various schools/methodologies of reciting the Glorious Qur’an).
From Egypt, he proceed to Islamic University of Madina and graduated in 2014 with Master Degree in Qira’at – Faculty of Qur’anic Sciences.
Goni then went to African University, Sudan and started his Ph.D Degree.
In the field of musabaqa, Goni Tahir represented Nigeria at Saudi King Abdul'aziz Int'l Quran Competition in 1994 and came 1st in the memorization of 60 Hizb (second category).
He also participated in 2002 Dubai Int’l Holy Qur’an Award and won 4th.
Goni participated also at Misra Int’l Musabaqa and won 2nd.
Goni Tahir had been among the judges at 2011 King Abdul’aziz Int’l Musabaka – Saudi Arabia, 2012 Sudan International Musabaqa, 2013 Kuwait International Holy Qur’an Award and 2018 Dubai International Holy Quran Award/Musabakatu Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak ( for Females).
In Nigeria, Goni Tahir formerly, was among the panel of judges in Nigerian National Qur’anic Recitation Competition from 2007 to 2013.
Goni was blessed with retentive memory and this had been proved when he read the entire Qur’an by heart to Gwani Rufa’i in preparation to represent Nigeria in 2002 and make no repetition throughout except one WORD in Surat al-A’raf.
Goni recorded the Glorious Qur’an – Riwayati Hafs – when he was at Egypt and lectured at University of Maiduguri.

Gwani Sadiq was from Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria. Born at Tafki Tara, Kebbi State. He memorized the Glorious Qur'an in the hand of his father. He later travelled to Gusau, Sheikh Sunusi Balarabe Zawiyya, to pursue Qur'anic knowledge.

He was among the top Nigerian Qur'anic reciters.
In 1994, Gwani Sadiq represented Sokoto State in the National Quranic Recitation Competition and won 11th position in the memorization of 60 Hizb (second category without Tafsir). He contested with Riwayati Warsh.
In 1995, he bagged 3rd position and won 1st in 1996 (in the same category, i.e 60 Hizb ) where he contested with Riwayati Hafs.
He represented Nigeria at King Fahad International Qur'anic Competition, Makkah, where he got 1st position in the 2nd category(60 Hizb),making him the third amongst the 5 Nigerians that attained this rank( others being Gwani Umar Al-Bashir, Gwani Tahir Idris, Gwani Abdurrahman Durma, and recently, Idris Abubakar,all from Borno State, Nigeria). This was in the year 1996/1997. الله اكبر Other Nigerian participants during the same year are Sheikh Abubakar Rabah Kebbi (Tafsir), Gwani Fadlu Kura Kano(40 Hizb), Dr Mansur Yelwa Bauchi(20 Hizb) and Isma'il Salis Katsina (10 Hizb).
He was a judge( for correction) in Nigerian National Qur'anic Recitation Competition from 2001 to 2013, and reappointed from 2018 to date.
He memorized Shatibiyya, Al-Durrah and on-going Taiyibah An-Nashr (2013 interview at Wisal Hausa Tv)
In 2011, he was chosen to be among the panel of Judges at King Fahd International Holy Quran Competition, Makkah and assigned to correct (and later to read the questions as well) the contestants.
Yana da yawan murmushi da faran-faran da jama'a ' he smiles alot'.
He had Jumu'at Masjid and delivered annual Ramadan Tafsir there.
He teaches many Fikh, Lugga and Qira'at at his school in Gusau.
Goni (in ji mutanen Borno) wrote a book on Tajweed and recorded complete Quran in Hafs, Warsh, Qalun and Khalaf.
Very soon, in sha Allah, the recorded version of 10 various Qira'at (20 Riwayat) will be launched by God's grace.

Dr Sa'ad Abubakar Imam Sokoto was a lecturer in the Faculty of Law, College of Legal and Islamic Studies, and also one of the Chief Imams of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria.
His father, Sheikh Abubakar Abubakar Musa Imam Sokoto was the Chief Imam of A.B.U Zaria for over 50 years. He was said to be one of the oldest Imam in Northern Nigeria, died at the age of 110. The late Imam was appointed by Sardauna of Sokoto, the Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello. May Allah have mercy upon them.
Sheikh Sa'ad represented Sokoto State in the National Qur'anic Recitation Competition in the years 2001, 2002, and ... in the first category of the musabaqah (60 Hizb and Tafseer) where he won 3rd, 4th and ... positions respectively.
Dr. Sa'ad represented Nigeria in Palestine (not hold), Iran and Saudi Arabia (not King Fahad) Qur'anic Recitation Competition.
He has been among the panel of judges of the National Qur'anic Recitation Competition in Nigeria organized annually by Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto from 2013 to 2017.
He was a fluent reciter of the Glorious Qur'an, a scholar of Hadith, Fiqhu, and Lugga, to mention but few.
Mallam Sa'ad attended L.E.A Primary School, Jama'a, Zaria, Basawa Teachers College, Zaria, then College of Arts and Islamic Studies, Sokoto.
He joined College of Legal Studies, Sokoto but left for Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria to read Bachelor of Art in Arabic.
However, he got scholarship and went Uganda to further his studies.
Hailed from Sokoto but brought up in Zaria, Sheikh Sa'ad graduated with first class honour from Islamic University in Uganda in the year 2000 obtaining his first degree in Common and Islamic Law.
In Uganda, Mallam was appointed one of the Imams for Jumu'at Prayer and upon leaving the campus, he recorded the complete Qur'an in casette, on request by the then Registrar of the University.
Thereafter, he joined the services of Sultan Maccido Institute, Sokoto, as a teacher for almost ten years.
He recieved his Master and Ph.D degree in the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He lived a simple life and loved by all the Muslim students of A.B.U Zaria.
Mallam was always ready to accept any invitation by MSSN in order to deliver any lecture across the campus.
He spoke English as well as Arabic to the best of their form.
He delivered annual Tafseer in Ramadan at Danraka Jumu'at Masjid, Samaru, Zaria
