For some dusks and dawns
My quill rejects the scroll.
Despite the will to pen a sea,
The mind refused to sell a pint.
And the day is today;
To celebrate the new rays,
The silhouettes of our future days,
The mesmerizing bards,
whose hearts silkily prints golden words
That inspire minds to respire
Freely from the pit of despair.
Every so often the night deserts the day
Or the day welcomes the night,
I await your arts in total awe
To bask in and relieve my pines.
Plethora of gracias
To those gravid minds
Who defied gravic lines
To deliver their creativity on 'creative minds'.

POETRY TALENT - U14MD A.B.U ZARIA - HAJARA TOM
One hundred and thirteen
BarakAllahu feena
Of beautiful minds as a team
Destined to be winners
By The Almighty’s leave
In this trade of our dream
We were gathered here as strangers
But became like birds of one feather
Yearning to flock forever together
Strung by bonds like that of brothers
And the compassion of two merry sisters
Beneath the cover of red and blue theatres
We learnt to let go of our rifts and differences
We sought and found a common ground
And learnt the joy of moving as one
We created true friendships
And unwavering loyalties
Perhaps future relationships
And many inexplicable bonds we will forever cherish
We learnt to give our time to one another
And our smiles to those that lost theirs
We consoled each other
That things will get better
And we're all in this united, together
And you our leader
Have been a friend, a guide and a ladder
For you is a prayer for all the best life has to offer
May we all be together
Next year and thither

Heartbreak - Mustapha TK
*Heartbreak*
That inexplicable feeling you get. You want to die because you're not worth living. As useless as the terms and conditions. Are you invisible? Not worthy of love? After all you've done, that's what you get in the end. They say everything that has a beginning has an end. But this end makes it feel like "no more ends".
But slowly, by God's design. No condition is permanent. The box you put your self in cracks the way your heart did and light pours into you and fills up the void left there. Slow, but it'll happen. Things have color again. Food tastes nice again. Talking to people feels normal now. All because of the friends that stayed. The new people that wanted to know you.
But alas. Just the way a broken glass tells a story when put back together, just like wounds heal but leave a scar, so shall the cracks on your heart be. Dented by the terrible emotions. Frail and fragile from the war.
But life has it in such a way that every end, is the beginning of a new story.

Love - Mustapha TK
*Love*
A very strong emotion that can't be explained. You see examples of it everyday. But you still can't define it. Love is when hearing a voice makes you smile no matter how sad or depressed you're feeling. Love is when you'll sacrifice something you want soo much so that you'll see that person beam in happiness. Love is scolding your children so they grow up right. Love is being in pain when pain strikes another. Love is never wanting to disappoint that person.
Emotions speak louder than words... But love stands above them all. With love you can overcome all the hardship life throws at you. You can blossom from a bud to a forest. You can challenge anything with no fear of failing... Because, you have Love to fall back on.

POEM - HEARTY GODSPEED TO THE U15MDFamily
HEARTY GODSPEED TO THE U15MDFamily
On the morrow promptly
You would set forth gallantly
To crush the transitional barricade victoriously
Benedictus Medicus, the U14Mdfamily
Send out their goodwill wholeheartedly
Your strenght is the Most High
Stay focused without a wry
Determined to conquer in a try
God willing, your success is nigh
And ‘PASS' you all shall eye
Your success is our success honestly
Our success is your success certainly
Why? Because we are together a family
We invoke the Lord fervently
To see us through succesfully

STOP THE STIGMATIZATION - Fateemah Sumda
*STOP THE STIGMATIZATION*
*Fateemah Sumda*
Mental disorders are illnesses that affect mood ,thinking and behaviour of a person. They include depression, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorder and even addictive behavior, etc.
Stigmatization is one of the challenges faced by many individuals all around the world. One can be stigmatized because of his/her race, gender, looks or even diseases.
Mental disorders are probably the most stigmatized diseases. I define metal illness stigmatization as a situation where persons suffering from mental illnesses are been disregarded, disgraced and considered unworthy to be members of the society. This issue of stigmatization has been existing for ages and it's due to lack of understanding and various misconceptions of the disorders. Mentally ill persons are considered unworthy to be a members of the society. So no much care is been given to them. They are rather left to deteriorate till they roam the street.
Stigmatization has made people scared of accepting to have the illnesses or seek medical help because they fear the social isolation they will suffer. The stigma doesn't only affect the sick individual but also their close relatives.
The misconception is so bad that if you suggest to a patient to see a psychiatrist it is consider an insult. You hear responses like "do you think am mad... " ,"God forbid..." etc.
They prefer to suffer than to open up and look for help.
Visiting a psychiatrist doesn't mean one is mad. It only means one is ill. I used the word mad because it is generally believed that a mad man is that half naked man roaming the streets eating garbage, and it is he who needs to see a psychiatrist. This is false as a psychiatrist is someone you can choose to visit when having persistent head aches, Mood swings, difficulty concentrating and lots more.
Mental illness is a challenge and not a problem. All you need to do is accept the challenge and cope well by seeking professional help.
Build self esteem, interact well with people and even educate them about your condition. Join a support group if you can. Know that you will always not be alone.
Remember you are not depression, you are not bipolar, you are not anxiety and even not schizophrenia. You only have a problem that has a solution.
Do you have or know anyone with mental illness...
Visit a psychiatrist today and stand against mental illness stigmatization.

POETRY TALENT - DISASTER IN DISGUISE - FATIMA SUMDA
DISASTER IN DISGUISE
Water is a good slave
But wat sought of master is it
Its known to tame volcanoes and calm the desire in fire
Its water, the descendant if ice....
But...
Once this faithful servant becomes a master acursed
It is possessed by the evil of tornadoes
Displaying a hurricane of terror
Having no mercy as though its not the blessing we know
A scenery of broken dreams
Bowed trees and succumbed winds
Homelessness as well as diseases
Received unawares...
Indeed water in d spirit of flood
Is the worst master
