Break - Maryam Salman

*BackFromBreak*; this should be fun.

(TUESDAY ): We know how the 1st day of resumption can be stressful and full of activities and we would love to hear from you in writing how it all went down. Works are to be received with the hash tag #BACKTOSCHOOL

Encounter#
Monday might be stressful but not like this last one.
Haven finished with exams, I started at home with my Sis.
And then we went to madrasah together by 4:00pm.
We came back and enjoyed a merry chitchat with the family.
Maybe no encounter. No stressful Monday.
Pressing phone almost all day

#BACKTOSCHOOL
So today was kinda good to me. Being Tuesday, I had no morning lectures. It was an advantage because I slept late. So morning, I slept like a baby 😂
I woke up by 9am brushed and took my bath. Then thoughts of what to eat came flooding I was almost crying as I remembered that just 24hours ago I was served breakfast like a princess. After deliberating, thinking and redeliberating I finally settled for Noodles🍜 and fried eggs with a cup of SHAYI☕as usual.
I'm a slow eater so I took 45 minutes to clear the plates.
I hurriedly dressed up, did some finishing touches to my face and clothes😉. And while saying my Azkar I stepped out to do what we do(BOKO)

*TRUE LOVE IN IT'S HUMAN FORM* FATIMA MUHAMMAD SANI*

*TRUE LOVE IN IT'S HUMAN FORM*

 _Call it love and devotion,
Call it a Mum's adoration,
A special bond of creation,
Thy strong foundation,

So strong like a rock,
So goodly like a star forsooth.
The world with her strength, she rocks
24/7,she tirelessly works
A heroine without a cape,
Created with extraordinary super powers.

True love in it's human form,
She does more than she can doth,
Because she wants a wonderful life for her babies,
She gives them all her love,
Nobody matters like them.

Holds everything together like a glue,
With a soul so cool, deop and blue,
A queen without a crown,
A goddess in her children's eye,
Always a life saver.

Facing the hard life without a fear,
Well preparedth for any obstacle that blocks her way,
She's always there for thee during rain and shine,
The first person that believes in thee,
Thy doctor, friend and bank for thy worries and tears,
Thy problem solver, with a magical hug that heals everything .

The truest person to thee, who tells thee when you're doing good or bad.
Her goal is always to make thee smile no matter what,
'Sacrifice' is what she's compassed with,
For thou, she sacrifices her life, youth, wynn and more.
One with the sweetest name ever,
Which means millions of words,
MOTHER,she's called.

DEDICATED TO ALL MOTHERS,MAY GOD BLESS THEM WITH HIS INFINITE MERCY._

POEM - POOR NIGERIAN CHILD - MARYAM SALMAN

Dilapidated buildings and inadequate health facilities.
Insufficient health workers and poor working conditions
Why?
Nigeria Why? Nigerians Why?
Is it a crime to be poor?
They didn't ask to be poor, it's just circumstances.

They chose people to represent them.
But then, they exist no more to these people.
They're suffering in silence
Nobody hears them.
Children are sick and dying;
Malnutrition, diarrhoea, they battle with everyday.
Malaria seems to be a neighbour.

Their welfare has being abandoned.
Their plight, the government doesn't know of
They conceal their agony
and suffer in silence feeling abandoned.
Be their voice!

*MY SHAYI☕* - MARYAM SALMAN

*MY SHAYI☕*
A symbol of friendship
A herbal nourishing drink of the average Hausa man
My Shayi☕
My black Shayi scented with ginger and cloves
My Companion in all weather conditions
I love my Shayi☕
Black and too hot for you
*Shayi: A hausa word for Tea

My life - MAJ

I'm frightened of what's to come,
For life seems not to abscond,
As my fantasy grows narrower,
The enthusiasm fades like the trade,
The more I saw the less it becomes,
It curls but of difficulty,
Sometimes I feel like to deter,
But of what use is life without hurdles?
Even in our fantasies we like mysteries,
The higher I go the steeper it becomes,
Just like a rope curled into a corn,
It's difficult to make but beautiful to site.

POEM - LIFE AS A ROPE - FATIMA MUHAMMAD SANI

LIFE AS A ROPE

Like the rope tied,
Bigger circles below and smaller above,
Our hopes decrease in length,
Due to the challenges of life.
We've had many wishes, dreams and hopes when we were little,
But all reduced as life goes on,
That's how it works

But anything can be changed,
It's a sparkling rope of life,
Twisted and rolled into that,
It can be unrolled to a single rope
And tied to a different shape with hope
And the way it worked can be moped.

Setting the levels of our dreams and hopes to be equal
From childhood to adulthood,
Not only remaining constant, but increasing with time
So,let's tie our ropes in the weirdest pattern to suit the levels of our dreams

POETRY TALENT - Memories - Fateemah Sumda

Memories

I watched as you faded like dusk into a darkness uncontained.you faded into a moonless night devoid of stars. you where once my sun in the sky. but you turned into a whisper in the wind. we were so real like living dreams. all of a sudden you became invisible. all that's left is feelings in memory .once upon a time we stumbled upon our love which I thought will last forever. tonight is another for which I reminisce...on a story long told.
