Sakwaya
Aminu Sakwaya is a Nigerian citizen and researcher specializing in Qur'anic recitation and Islamic studies. He is particularly known for his extensive documentation of Qur'anic recitation competitions (Musabaqah) across Nigeria. The compendium serves as a breakthrough and reference material for the detailed results of the musabaqah, the list of Judges, coordinators and officials of the event from its inception in 1986 to date. He had updated and compiled the winners and judges of the Saudi Arabian King Abdul'aziz International Qur'an Recitation and Memorization, and that of Dubai International Holy Qur'an Award from their inception to date. Sakwaya has also contributed to preserving the legacies of prominent Qur'anic scholars, through detailed biographical accounts. His work is widely recognized among Qur'anic educators and scholars in Nigeria. His involvement in the history of these events underscores his commitment to promoting Qur'anic literacy and fostering international recognition of Nigerian Qur'anic scholars.
