*My Mother - The Special One*
I genuflect to your kindness, my mother
With my mischief now and then, you seem not to bother
Even during hardship, u were always willing to foster
And now, the compensation you deserve, is what I'm trying to gather.
You brought me to this world without asking for a penny
When I was preteen, you were my sole nanny
But now that you are a blessed granny
I pray that Almighty would forever make you sunny
You gave me something I needed most, motherly attention
Whenever I was petrified, you eased my tension
You taught me that what is most important is concentration
Because without that, one could fall into confusion
Into medical field, you wished me to dive
And here I am trying to survive
If not because of you, I wouldn't be alive
And in this same field I promise to wive
You nurtured me to become prayerful
And here I am, living a life that is peaceful
Even when nostalgic, I never felt sorrowful
Oh Mother! You are indeed wonderful
I call unto you mother, my wealth is totally yours
Extract from it without any force
If you need beyond my wealth, give me calls
I have made a covenant never to ignore your bawls

POEM - Welcome to Creative Minds - Habeeb
*Welcome to Creative Minds - Fatima Muhammad Sani*
In Almighty God we trust
With whom our lives we entrust
The impeccable that is forever just
Even after we all turn to dust
And here you are, the oasis of expressivity
Dwelled by those who crave for work of mentality
Not because of their inborn sanity
But because we can't live without creativity
What an assortment of great minds
Where blindsiding things tend to bind
And craftiness seems to wind
All because of the rarity of their kind
Oh! Fatima Muhammad Sani!
The veracity of your writings
And the stupefaction of your art
Are those that make me wonder
If truly you are a medical student
What a juxtaposition of talents
He God has concocted
Endowed upon the soul of a friend
Fatima Muhammad Sani, the doctor-to-be
And the great artisan just about to shine.

POEM - THE LOST VALUE - TOYYIB
*The* *Lost* *Value*
*By* *Abdulganeey* *Muhammed* *Toyyib*
The world cries
And cries till her eyes bulge
Cries of ignorance
Of what people inscribed on her wall
Why?
Once upon a time,
The world, home of humility,
Home of empathy.
But now bereft of it
By those she trusts
Is that a fair?
What a world!
A world where innocents are blamed,
Where littles are belittled.
Even the animals,
The trees are also tortured
Why? because they can’t speak?
Corruption lies in their heart,
And wickedness hold sway
A world of warcraft,
Where missiles smile in the air
Oh! They are even testing it.
Oh my God!
Water turns deep red,
Earth refuses to open,
And homes are shattered.
Children wander ‘round,
Devoid of home,
Clothes and food.
Oh My God!
Oh my God, are we human?
Why are we on earth?
Maybe beneath earth will do.
Humility, report us to God.
Maybe He will change us.
Just tell him everything.
